Digging deeper - ASQ-3 assessment
The Ages & Stages Questionnaires®, Third Edition (ASQ-3™), is a parent-completed developmental screening tool used during the 2-2½ year health reviews.
It evaluates five key domains to monitor development and identify potential delays:
- Communication
- Gross motor
- Fine motor
- Problem-solving
- Personal-social
The picture in Bromley in 2024/25
Overall
82.9% of children were at or above the expected level in all five areas of development (+1.5% vs National)
89.2% of children received the ASQ-3 as part of the Healthy Child Programme or integrated review (where there are clear special needs this is not the appropriate tool)
